Early Birds

Before you check out, this post has nothing to do with waking up early because I don’t do that…if I can help it.  That being said, there are some incredible perks to getting things done early.  If you are in college or remember the college days, I’m sure you recall the mad rush to register for classes or buy textbooks or sell textbooks.  Not so fun, right?  I will definitely not miss the marathon dash to the bookstore, but for those of you who still have a few semesters left…hold the phone!
A few weeks ago I received an email from Campus Book Rentals offering to partner with Cupcakes and Candy Canes to let all of you know that the days of the bookstore battles are over!  After I reviewed the site, I could not help thinking, “Why did I never do this?!”  I have spent the past six semesters scouring the Internet and bookstores for my textbooks, often paying way more than I expected.  While I am so glad to be done with textbook buying, I am also so pleased to be able to share some of Campus Book Rentals’ incredible opportunities and perks.
If you’re anything like me, you probably have a pretty strong opinion about textbook prices and the companies that sell them.  Not only does Campus Book Rentals have incredible prices, but their terms of use are easy to understand and follow.

Problem 1:  The required textbook for class is about $100.
Campus Book Rentals Solution:  Rental fees are 40 – 90% off bookstore prices!

Problem 2:  Maybe I did find an okay price…shipping is going to be $4 both ways (don’t forget selling back).
Campus Book Rentals Solution:  Free shipping both ways.

Problem 3:  This sounds great, but I highlight in my books…
Campus Book Rentals Solution:  No problem!  Highlighting is understandable and perfectly acceptable.

Problem 4:  What if I don’t need the book for all that long?
Campus Book Rentals Solution:  Flexible rental periods.  There are options for several different class lengths.

For me, this all speaks for itself, but just to put a little icing on the cake, Campus Book Rentals donates to Operation Smile with every textbook rented!  This organization works around the world to provide free surgeries to children with cleft lips or palates.  Often times, the severity of these conditions makes it difficult to impossible for these children to eat, speak, smile, or socialize.  Operation Smile has, to date, provided more than 200,000 free surgeries to children and young adults in need.
As a college student, I know money is tight, and it can be difficult to donate to charities or provide support for a great cause, but because of Campus Book Rentals’ incredible partnership with Operation Smile, you can help in a very tangible way around the world.
If you are thinking about your textbooks next semester, I would definitely encourage you to check out Campus Book Rentals…the line for the bookstore is only going to get longer!
